MAURICE MCGEE

Maurice McGee born and raised in New Haven Connecticut. Maurice became highly interested in Music at the tender age of 9 years old. His older brother, Elton McGee was a very important influence for Maurice and was one of the main reasons Maurice began to listen to Music at such an early age. His older brother Elton McGee listened to Pioneering 80's Hip Hop Artists such as De La Soul, KRS ONE, Biz Markie, Special Ed, and the list goes on. Motivated by the sounds, styles of creativity and influence of the Hip Hop Culture and also other music genres, Maurice at age 10 decided to become involved with Music any way he could and felt it was his duty to contribute his own ideas to help drive his stake in Hip Hop Culture.

Motivated with a vision, as Maurice grew older at the age of 17 he began his journey in becoming an Conscience Artist, Music Producer, and Audio Recording Engineer. After many years of sharpening his skills as an Artist, Producer, & Engineer , Maurice grew an interest in wanting to get  involved in the behind the scenes side of the Music Culture and started his own Music Publishing Company as CEO called Draughn To You Publishing LLC. and CEO of his music production company called DEF ELEMENT PRODUCTIONZ. Now in 2018 Maurice has teamed with other talented Song Writers and is working together  building a Music Media Catalog for achieving placements in Movies, TV Shows, Online Media, National Radio, and the Video Gaming Industry.
